I have been gone for so long and for those of you that have continued to come here and support my blog I really do appreciate it! A lot has happened to keep me from blogging and now I hope that i can get back into the habit of it once again.

Here is my Walgreens trip for this week:



I actually had RR's to spend and I split this into two transactions.

I am not totally sure she rang all my q's looking at my receipt, but still not bad.
Then I received the following RR's back - $5 for buying $10 of Quaker Oats, $1 for Trident, $2.50 for Fiber choice, $4 for Dulcolax $2 for Poligrip = $14.50

Some of these items I really don't use like Poligrip, but those are the items I give to people that will use them. I have never had a problem finding people to give away my free stuff to.

Another opportunity to save at Walgreens. Go here to print your coupon. Keep in mind that you usually have to spend $25 before coupons and taxes to get the $5 off. This coupon is good for Wednesday & Thursday only.

After work I went back into Walgreens to pick up some Ragu, but I wanted to take advantage of some of the other deals again so this is what I got.

This being back-to-school season for most retailers we are starting to see better sales and I am more than ready to take advantage of them. My parents and I went shopping yesterday at CVS and Walgreens and here are the deals I got.

Yesterday I headed out to Walgreens to pick up some of the freebies plus I had a RR that expired yesterday so I needed to at least spend that. I did this in two transactions. See details below picture.

With this new system of having the same number of q's as items I find I am spending a little more OOP than before.

I had $10 in RR's to spend at Walgreen's today. I really wanted the Iceland Fish Oil that are free after RR's, however they didn't get any on the truck, so I got some other needed items.
I picked up some long envelopes clearance @ $1.49, (3) small clear dishes @ 3/$1(for dessert, only 2 shown), (2) 1/2 gallons milk reduced to .60ea, (1) gallon milk reduced to .99, and (2) packages of Nutter Butter cookies @ 3.50ea. My total came to $11.85. I used the (2) $5 RR's and pd $1.85 OOP.
Plus I received a $3 RR, for buying (2) Nabisco cookies and (1) gallon milk. I was going to see if only the cookies would trigger the deal like in the past, but I found the milk marked down so I am not sure if only the cookies by themselves will trigger it. If you have and it works let me know.

I made it into Walgreens last night and picked up several of the Freebies this week. Unfortunately they were out of the Ecotrin, which would have been a money maker with Q.

Anyway this is what I got:

I split this up into two transactions, the first one is when I found out that they have changed it so you have to have the same # of items per # of coupons. In the past you could give the RR's then give them the MQ's and you would have no problems. However, now they have updated their computers to be smarter! Now you must have the same number of items as you do Q's. That is why I bought the (2) napkin rings. You could also buy seeds if you want to buy something cheap.
So after both transactions I ended up with $17.90 OOP and $24 in RR's to roll into other deals. Just remember when rolling RR's, you can not use a RR on the same deal or you will not get another one. Example: When I go to buy more Nivea I can not use a Nivea RR, but I can use one from the Bayer,Sierra Mist, Contour or Rembrant. I have forgot sometimes and realised it too late. So learn from my mistakes!


Side note here---The Nivea smells SOOO yummy!

As many of you know right now at Walgreens the Mento's gum is 2/$2. I had a friend give me coupons for all this gum plus when I was there I found these Soliels marked down to $1.79! YEAH!!! Mom got a couple also. I also found these shark bites mints which were not free but cheap .25. So my total was $2.80, ($2.30 was tax!).

While were in Ft. Wayne we stopped by one of the Kroger's on Dupont to see if they carried this dog food, "Freshpet Select". I received a Catalina for it here in Angola, but they stopped carrying it. I kept it for the next time I was in Ft. Wayne. It was good for a Free product up to $3.99. Plus the T.P. was free so I tax for these items. Which was only .26!

I did find a couple of good deals on the clearance I mentioned the other day.

Note: To those of you not familiar with Walgreens, you can not use a RR on an item the gives the same RR. Example: I had a $10 RR from last week for teh Dove deal. I can not use that RR on the Dove and still get another $10 RR. This is what is meant by rolling...so if you want to roll your RRs you try to look for seperate deals to keep them rolling.



I did not intend on going into Kroger until tomorrow, but after I was in town I decided to go to Kroger today then hit Meijer tomorrow. However, I still will go to Kroger again tomorrow for more milk and more FREE butter.

This post is a couple of days past due, but I have been so busy making my aprons that I have not posted my deals. Once I start sewing it's hard for me to pull myself away!

This is my Walgreens Trip. I had $4.83 OOP...I had a brain fart, because I forgot to use my RR's. I was in a hurry and that always makes me miss something. However, after coupons I had approx. $11 to pay and $6 of it was tax! (When I first posted this I forgot to add that I used the rest of the money I had on a gift card that is why I only had $4.83 OOP)SO here is what I snagged...I will get a rebate of $7.69 for the Axe hair gel/paste. So really I won't be out of any money.




This is from CVS...It ended up being .43 OOP.
I actually had a $10 ECB that expired the day before and I was so upset. Well, I handed it to the cashier and did not say a word. She took it and then I was very happy! I have already lost money that way in the past. These last couple of months just have been so lack luster for me at CVS. Maybe it's just me. I have been getting the Fusions, but besides that they have not really had that great of deals.
The Ritz are from a rain check I had from a few weeks ago and the calendar was for my daughter. The were marked down to .50.



And last but not least...this is from Meijer. I think Meijer has some great deals with the frozen food month. However, my freezer is pretty full so I really only needed to buy some dry goods. I am hoping that another Arm & Hammer deals comes along soon because I just ran out of the stuff I got from Walgreens before Christmas. I will see how Morgan reacts to the ALL, her skin is sensitive and I have never tried ALL, plus it was cheap this week with the $1 coupon from the All You magazine. For this trip I spent $14 and some odd change. Sorry I am not being accurate this week, but I can't seem to find where those receipts ended up. All in all I spent approximately $1 per item with this trip.

Well, I made it into the Coldwater Walgreens and picked up more soap.
After the first transaction I realised I did not get the RR for the Blink. I then told the cashier(boy)that I wanted to return it and exchange it for the correct one so I could get my RR. Needless to say he was upset. He called the manager over and stopped her before she was at the register and told her I wanted to return it and get my coupon back. I was puzzled but just stood there. The manager said, "I can do the return but your not getting the coupon back." I said that's fine as long as I get the $2. She said, "Okay, just a minute." Then she went to talk with another manager. In the meantime I am thinking, BOY OH BOY! , what a hassle, what's the big deal. Then she came back and said, "Well, the Manager said if you use a coupon sometimes you will not get the RR." I just simply said, "that's not true because I just used a coupon on the other 3 items and I got the RR. I think it really is simply because I picked up the wrong one, because none of them are marked so I was unsure which on was on sale." She said, "Oh you just want to get a different one?" I replied "Yes, I didn't expect to get the coupon back, I just want to get the one for the sale." It was funny how much she changed her demeanor after she realised what I REALLY wanted.
I went through this story to help you new couponers realise that sometimes the employees at the store do not understand their own programs and sometimes you have to be patient to get good deals.
After getting the correct Blink, I only got an additional lotion for my second transaction. I was actually going to do more, but I was upset with the cashier, because he really didn't want to deal with me.
After breaking the Angola Walgreens store in I really have no patience to train a new store! LOL!!! It still was worth the hassle for the FREE soap.

Some people are reporting that the Cyrstal Clear Reach TB are giving $3 RR when you buy 3. This did not work for me, but they were still Free after coupons.

Wow!! I had a great trip to Walgreens tonight! Here is the picture of what I got(minus one bar of soap) and I didn't have any out of pocket! I did a total of five transactions and I had leftover from last months rebates so I used my gift card to pay. I still have over $5 left on it and will be getting $49 here in the next week so I am feeling pretty good about it. Also, I used $16 in RR's and accumulated $23 so I also gained on them.

It is a little too much to list but I will link some of the deals.

Gum was Free with MQ from 2 weeks ago, and the Turtles I bought simply because I bought a ton of coupons for the Christmas promo and then I did not get a chance to use them because someone bought all 40 boxes the store received! If people are going to do that I wish they would place an order with the Manager ahead of time. So it's an indulgence.

I had $22 worth of RR's to use by tomorrow so I ended up get Rebate items.
I was hoping to have only a couple dollars OOP however for some unknown reason it would not take my 2 $10 RR's so I had to use one $10 and one $2.
This is what I got and what I used:

After coupons and RR's my OOP was $7.51

Then I will get $24.17 with the 10% bonus on my gift card. I had to pay cash because I have not yet received last months gift card money.

Then I went to Kroger where my bad karma continued!

The above items came to a toal of $22.56

For some of you this may be great, but for me I am very upset. I can not for the life of me figure out which coupons teh cashier didn't scan. I should of had 12 scanned coupons and she only scanned 10. I actually caught one of them for the popcorn or she would have missed that one. Then to top this all off all of my shortcut coupons did not come off. I have filed a dispute with them so maybe I will get back that $1.75.

In total I spent $7 more than I had planned. Also Kroger pulled all of last weeks Mega item signs even though they were still on sale. I figured this out when I asked the cashier to scan the cereal. It had a sign for $3.?? however it scanned for $2.69. This was also a bummer, because I could have bought more cheese and cat litter to get me up to the 10 items to get the $5 off.

Anyway I probably will not return anything or go back in there. I will definitely use this as yet another learning experience.

As a positive note the soft scrub was on closeout for 1.84 and with the .50 MQ it makes them only .34! We use a lot of soft scrub so this is a great find I will be going back for more.

Okay so with all of the clearance specials going on I just have not had time to post. Plus our Kroger ad just started yesterday and I have had to get things around for that. I actually bought some coupons for this and I am hoping that they don't run out of everything in time for me to use them all. I have already received them and used them on some items yesterday, but I am very leery about Kroger and their stocking ability.

After all q’s My total was only $20.30. After leaving I looked at my receipt and noticed that my subtotal was only $16.85 which was less that the brace itself. I will also be getting $1.65 back in rebate for the Electrasol.
Also keep in mind that this particular cashier gave me overage and some do not. I was only expecting free and did not plan on the overage, that way if I get overage it makes me even happier!!

I hope to get more time to go back in tomorrow for some other things I saw on clearance. However I work so it will depend on how I feel after working 11+ hours.
